October is breast cancer awareness month and this year MRS is turning our shops pink all month long!

With Breast Cancer effecting 1 in 8 women, this cause hits home for many at MRS. Every Thursday in October employees are encouraged to wear pink to support local Breast Cancer support group Every Woman Can. All proceeds from pink MRS gear are donated, as well as a dollar amount for each employee that wears pink on Thursdays in October.

Every Woman Can is a Spokane local organization that provides resources for those effected by Breast Cancer. Every Woman Can is an all-women’s Cancer organization made up of volunteer to support survivors. They partner with “local direct service providers to assist with low or no cost mammograms and expand our fundraising, advocacy and education to include support for all women experiencing cancer. And, as part of our ongoing desire to be a wellness origination, we’ll provide current guidelines for screenings, tests and conversation tips for how to be our own best health advocates”.
